I Am Not An Attorney But My Question Is Regarding My Firm?

I am not an attorney, but my question is regarding my firm operating with an escrow account. If we charge a client $2,000 for services and place this in an escrow account and do not take the money until our services are completed for the client, is this considered an “up front fee”?
